Good nutrition is important for both physical and mental health. A healthy, well balanced diet can assist with the management of depression, anxiety and mood swings. This workshop explains the food/mood link, provides a basic understanding of nutrients for mental health and gives guidelines on the best food choices and meal planning to assist with the management of mental health.
Behavioural Therapy in the Food/Mood Link
This section of the workshop explores the relationship between chemicals in the brain, mood and depression, and comfort or reward eating. Practical strategies and coping mechanisms for overcoming behaviours linked to food obsessions, cravings and dysfunctional eating are given to improve the relationship with food and take control of eating habits.
The cost of this workshop is dependent on the location of the workshop and the number of people attending.
